Publications Committee is responsible for publishing our newsletter “The Legal Star” in accordance with the Association’s guidelines. The Publications Committee also maintains RVPA’s social media accounts and our website, as well as other publications, such as brochures, as needed.

CLE Committee is responsible for developing programs, seminars and materials, arranging speakers and other programs for general and special meetings of the Association’s membership relating to continuing education for paralegals. (i.e., the monthly Lunch & Learns)

Social Committee is responsible for planning all social functions of the Association, such as the annual holiday social.

Nominations Committee is responsible for presenting the membership with an annual slate of candidates for the elected officer and board member positions within RVPA.

Membership Committee is responsible for reaching out and bringing in new members to the Association. The committee is responsible for membership drives and coordinates all membership matters relevant to the Association.

Public Relations and Community Service Committee is responsible for arranging all publicity relative to the activities of the Association. Activities include community volunteer opportunities and speaking with other groups on topics related to the paralegal profession.

Financial Development Committee is responsible for the financial development of the Association. This committee is responsible for coordinating fund-raising efforts of the Association. (i.e., Painting the Night and Thirty-One Fundraisers)

Ad Hoc / Special Committees are responsible for special events developed for the Association. These kind of events include “Practically Legal”, “Jaunt for Justice 5K” or any other event related to the paralegal profession. These committees are formed on an as-needed basis.
